Dr. van Lieshout, or Dr. John, always puts his patients first. Not only is his goal to make sure they are his top priority, but also to make sure you, the owner, is emotionally cared for, understood and supported. His heartwarming love for animals and tremendous amount of compassion truly sets him apart. Creating that bond and connection with every owner is what makes him so special and trusted.

Dr. van Lieshout has been practicing in the Capital District since 2016. He is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical training at the University of Minnesota.

Outside of work, Dr. van Lieshout devotes his time to his family- his wife, two children and two rescue dogs. A true family man and adventurer, he loves to travel, fish and spend as much time outdoors as he can.
